Can’t-Miss Fall Event: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

If there’s one Disney event we never skip, it’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom. This after-hours, limited-capacity event brings all the Halloween vibes—without the real scares. It’s festive, fun, and full of exclusive experiences you won’t find during regular park hours.

This special event runs nights from August 15 through October 31, and tickets go on sale May 15. If you're planning a fall Disney trip, we highly recommend snagging tickets early—they do sell out, especially closer to Halloween.

📅 2025 Party Dates:

August: 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, 29
September: 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30
October: 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30, 31

Why we love it 🧡

  • We may be biased but Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas is our family’s favorite. You’ll find them at Town Square Theater, and their meet-and-greet is one of the most popular—expect waits of up to two hours!

👀 And by the way… Jack may have gotten a glow up this year. Check it out here on Instagram.

Beyond Jack and Sally, the party is a goldmine for rare character sightings you won’t catch during normal park hours. In past years, guests have spotted:

Jafar, Maleficent, and other classic villains
The Queen of Hearts and Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum
    Genie & Abu
    The Seven Dwarfs—all together!
Special Characters roaming around the Haunted Mansion

  • This is the only time adults can wear costumes in the parks! There are a few restrictions, but it’s a blast to dress up as a family.

  • Disney makes it easy for kids (and adults!) to trick-or-treat all night long with stations scattered throughout the park. They even provide a bag for your candy!

  • A few classic rides get seasonal overlays that make them even more thrilling.

Space Mountain runs in total darkness

Pirates of the Caribbean adds live actors inside the attraction

(Overlays can vary by year, but these spooky touches are always a hit)

  • This parade is Halloween perfection. From the Headless Horseman’s eerie ride to that can't-get-it-out-of-your-head soundtrack, it's iconic.

We especially love the Haunted Mansion Gravediggers with their real-sparking shovels, and the Hitchhiking Ghosts—characters you won’t see anywhere else outside of this parade.

  • The Sanderson Sisters steal the show in this castle stage performance, joined by a lineup of iconic Disney villains—including Oogie Boogie (a favorite in our house). It’s funny, dramatic, and full of Halloween spirit.

Tip: 💡 If you love Jack & Sally as much as we do and don’t want to wait in the 2 hour line, watch the fireworks from the back of Main Street. Right when the grand finale is almost over, walk (don’t run!) straight to Town Square Theater. It’s on the left when you are leaving the park. This can cut your wait time down to 20-30mins.
